UNITED STATES COAST GUARD BAND
The United States Coast Guard Band makes its headquarters at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. Kenneth Fuchs, a Connecticut resident, is proud that the band has recorded seven of his works for concert band. All tracks are studio recordings under Commander and Director Adam Williamson, with one exception, a live performance under guest conductor Jeffrey Renshaw. In 2017, the band issued a disc, Forever Free, the Music of Kenneth Fuchs, the first in the planned American Composers Series. Naxos has issued the album along with Point of Tranquility, inspired by the Morris Louis painting of that name, which Fuchs composed especially for the U.S. Coast Guard Band. The album booklet cover features Beyond the Blue Horizon, 2018, by Connecticut native, artist, composer, and SiriusXM Satellite Radio host Preston Trombly.
